3 BIG Reasons To Get Addicted to Submitting Articles

Are you a person who dreads writing each article and who puts it off for as long as you can?

I know how that is, because I’ve been there!

I want to assure you that writing articles does not have to be a chore. All you need is a little mindshift change to redirect your attitude towards writing articles.

If you take the guidelines I’m about to offer you to heart, you will start to look forward to writing articles, and you may even find yourself craving to write more and more!

Here are 3 excellent reasons to become addicted to submitting articles:

1 – Each article is an ambassador for your company.

If you have the opportunity to enlist an unlimited number of persuasive ambassadors to travel all over the country and the world building up a good name for your company and demonstrating your top-notch expertise in your field, would you take advantage of it?

Yes, of course you would!

If the thought of having a ever growing team of professional ambassadors traveling the globe and making connections with your target customers is attractive to you, then you will want to start submitting articles on a consistent basis.

Why? Because each article is like an ambassador for your website and your business.

How so?

In the article body you will demonstrate your expertise by teaching your readers an important lesson about your niche. Then, in your resource box you will tell a little about yourself and your business and give readers a reason to go to your website.

Each article that you submit gets picked up for re-publication on more and more websites, effectively “spreading the news” about your expertise and your website. The more articles you submit (up to a point), the more positive results for your website.

2 – Each article vouches for your expertise on your topic.

Yes, each article should have the goal of demonstrating your knowledge on your topic. This means that if your website is about ballroom dancing, then all of your articles should be about various aspects of ballroom dancing.

Just to clarify–your articles would not be about your business. That would make the article sales oriented, which is not what you’re going for. Instead, your article would teach your readers something about your overall topic.

Imagine, as each article that you write is submitted and then republished all over the internet (which is visible to people all over the world), your reputation grows. From your very own bedroom or home office, you can become an worldwide expert in your niche!

3 – Each article is a commercial for your business.

Have you ever noticed how commercials air repeatedly? The idea with a commercial is to show it many times, and then after a period of time a new commercial is created and shown many times. This process goes on indefinitely–successful businesses know that coming up with commercials is just a part of having a business.

The same truth applies to people who are marketing their websites on the internet. When marketing on the internet, your “commercial” (your article submission) consists of an article that demonstrates your expertise on your topic, along with a resource box that teaches the reader something about your business and encourages readers to check out your website.

Are you one of those people who expects to submit a handful of articles and then see amazing and ongoing results?

That is not the way article marketing works. Just as advertising and marketing are ongoing endeavours for every business owner, so is submitting articles. Do you want to spread the word about your website and gain more customers for your business?

The first step is to become addicted to doing article submissions.

3 Tips for Building Strong Strategic Alliances

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Strategic alliances are another way to accelerate your business results and to build business momentum.

A strategic alliance, as it sounds, is a business arrangement made between business owners as a way of creating mutually beneficial outcomes. An example of this kind of alliance would be when two business owners partner up for a project, and each brings their own expertise to the project, resulting in something better and more lucrative than either could have created alone.

Strategic alliances can sometimes occur as cross-promotional arrangements, such as when you visit your local bakery, and they are promoting the florist shop next door.

Most business owners would benefit from a regular habit of seeking out and cultivating strategic alliances. Here are 3 tips to help you build stronger strategic alliances:

1) Commit to doing this. Make a plan to reach out to one new potential business alliance each day. If you can’t meet one new person each day, commit to meeting one per week, or even one per month. The key is that you are actively meeting other business owners in your area, and are learning about their businesses, and telling them about yours. You can make this process easier by creating a list of 100 people you’d like to connect with in the next few months, and systematically going down your list day by day or week by week. Try to make connections with people who would be in a position to refer ideal clients to you, and who are in non-competitive businesses to yours.

2) Focus on how you can help them first. We are often able to give really good ideas and advice to other people, and this can be a good way to make initial contact. Find out what they need, and do your best to assist them, either with direct ideas, or by making connections to others. If you give out help and referrals, you will, very often, get them back. Look to how you can become a connector or a center of influence within your community, and become the person that everyone needs to know.

3) Remember that everyone is inspired by big thinking. Try to create large platforms or large projects where you and your newfound alliances can work together. One way you might do this is by creating an expert panel around a particular topic, and inviting your new business alliances to be on your panel. You should all agree to promote this panel to your respective customer databases, and consider seeking media coverage for this panel as well.

Most business owners would be glad to be associated with a project like this. If you come up with the idea, and move it forward, more business owners will want to connect with you and seek you out, because you will be seen as a big thinker; someone who makes things happen.

It can be tempting to avoid meeting new people (especially if you’re shy or introverted), but the fact is that meeting people face to face is one of the fastest ways to create referrals for your business.

Get started with a strategy to build your strategic alliance base, and use the tips in this article to help you.

Miracle of the Ice Bridge

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

That Sunday, March 17th, Feast of St. Patrick, Father Duquay told the parishioners that there would be a High Mass for the feast of St. Joseph on March 19th, petitioning Jesus’ foster father to ask his Son to form a bridge of ice!

He also invited the men to come with him to survey the river.

When they arrived, they saw that the river was covered with a thin layer of ice floating among drifts of snow. They went from spot to spot, looking for blocks of ice floating closely together.

They had gone about 1000 feet with no success, when they spotted two of the guides heading upriver to the south shore. Father joined them. Only Father Duquay and the two guides dared continue, the ice was so thin and treacherous.

Having arrived at the south shore, Firmin Cadotte (one of the guides) crawled forward, feeling in the icy waters for a piece of ice that could carry his weight.

He persisted and then was joined by thirty other men who began working alongside one another to form a 1600 foot stretch of ice along the river, wide enough for two carts carrying stones to pass one another.

At 11 P.M., they returned to the sacristy and Father asked, “Well men, what are we going to do now?”

A plan was formulated whereby they would pour water over the thin bridge of ice that had formed and, upon freezing, pour more water over it until it would become thicker, and when it was thick enough to carry the weight of the carts and stones, they would begin carting the stones across the river. It was the following morning, March 18th, at 3 A.M., when the men returned to the river’s edge and went back to work on the ice.

Now considering how temperate it had been and that it was now March, it was nothing short of a miracle that the bridge was now solid enough to walk on!

Men kept pouring water on the ice.

It was now 6 inches thick! Encouraged, seeing a possible light at the end of the tunnel, they kept on pouring water.

March 19th, Feast of St. Joseph, just as they were trying to decide where the opening should be made for the carts to travel, as much snow had fallen during the night blocking the way, what did they see coming across the bridge of ice?

The first cart carrying blocks of stone!

This cart was followed by other carts, until by Sunday 175 sleighs carrying stones had passed.

The men had carted 1000 feet of stone plus enough stone for a foundation. Father Duquay ordered all work to stop.

Are Your Tired or Depressed?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Are you tired, or depressed? Or both?

Chronic fatigue is intense lethargy — a feeling of listlessness, lack of energy, and deprivation of motivation to do anything. Chronic fatigue is subjective, without well-defined characteristics. Chronic fatigue may be due to death of loved ones; diseases, such as heart conditions or diabetes; emotional problems, such as stress or depression; and medications, such as antihistamines, sedatives, and antidepressants. Chronic fatigue may also be psychological rather than physical, if the symptoms seem most severe on waking up, and taper off during the day, and there is hardly any muscle weakness.

Mental depression is one of the most common mental disorders. Mental depression is due to hereditary predisposition, emotional trauma, chemical imbalance, or hormonal changes. A characteristic symptom of mental depression is lethargy, listlessness, and lack of incentive to do anything. Due to its similarity with chronic fatigue, many individuals — in particular, those without a history of depression — may think they are suffering from chronic fatigue, when, in fact, they are undergoing a depressive episode.

So, how can one tell a mental depression from chronic fatigue?

In addition to fatigue, a characteristic of mental depression is distorted thinking, which may be caused by a dysfunctional deep limbic system (near the center of your brain). A dysfunctional deep limbic system may result from deficiency of neurotransmitters (responsible for communication between brain cells), causing increased metabolism or inflammation in the limbic system.

An overactive deep limbic system may cause individuals to do the following: looking back at the past and feel regret; looking at the future, and feel anxiety; looking at the present, and feel dissatisfaction. These negative thoughts are known as automatic negative thoughts (ANT).

So, if you are preoccupied with negative thoughts about yourself and what is happening around you, you are most probably suffering from mental depression, rather than chronic fatigue.

Chronic fatigue is a reflection of poor physical health, which adversely affects the mind. A complete physical checkup is the first step: you need to find out what is really wrong with you. The next step is detoxification: removing all body toxins. Healing and recovery will not take place until your body is clear of toxic wastes. Then, the final step is rejuvenation: providing your body with nutrients to complement the recovery process. Eating whole foods holds the key to rejuvenation. Avoid all processed foods, which are loaded with chemicals. A change in lifestyle, in particular an exercise regimen, is a must for long-term recovery from chronic fatigue.

Mental depression may require antidepressants. However, antidepressants alone may not provide a long-term cure; they only suppress the symptoms of mental depression. After all, all pharmaceutical drugs are chemicals.

It is critically important to heal you deep limbic system by changing your moment-to-moment thought patterns. Understand that your negative thoughts are real to you, but you must “talk back” to them whenever they occur. You must challenge them, and talk back to them repeatedly until they are banished from your mind.

Exercise can also help you not only to increase you energy output to induce restful sleep, but also banish your negative thoughts.

Nutrition can enhance the functioning of your deep limbic system. Your body needs proteins, which are building blocks of brain neurotransmitters. Eat a diet rich in omega-3-fatty acids.

Both chronic fatigue and mental depression require a complete overhaul of both physical and mental health.

Shopping For Foods to Eat to Lose Weight

Losing weight is something that millions each day want to do. However, it is a harder task than it sounds and many fail. Eating the right food is important when trying to shed pounds.

What you buy at the grocery store affects what you eat at home, so this article will talk about changing your grocery store list to get the foods to eat to lose weight.

One thing is important when you are beginning to change your diet to lose weight. Labels that say “low fat”, “low calorie” or “fat free”, are more often than not loaded with calories, fat, or sugar and should be avoided.

While walking around your grocery store it is important that you stay on the outside of the aisles where you will find the fresh produce, dairy, and meats. If you go inside the aisles you are going to find packaged goods that contain ingredients that will not help your diet.

One thing that usually kills a diet is sweets. Instead of reaching for a sugary dessert, substitute in fruit when looking for a sweet treat. Apples, bananas, melons, and many more fruits will satisfy your sweet craving and give you a decent serving of fiber as well.

When choosing your dairy products, a low fat label is good to choose. Low fat dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt are all excellent to eat when losing weight. Egg whites are also helpful if cooked correctly.

Vegetables are an excellent food to eat when dieting. Pretty much any vegetable will be good for your diet. Vegetables like spinach and broccoli are loaded with fiber. Also, avocados have monounsaturated fats, which are healthy fats that eliminate stomach fat.

When it comes time to get grains such as bread, rolls, and pasta, make sure you read the label and only get whole grains. You should be able to get a sufficient amount of your fiber from whole grains, so check to make sure your bread will be doing that for you.

Everyone wants to have meat in their diet. Try to avoid red meat if possible, but if you are going to get red meat make sure it is lean cut. Alternatives to red meat are chicken, pork, turkey, and fish. It is important for your diet that you cook these foods properly.

Snacks are key to helping keep you on track with your diet. When you are just starting you may be hungry in between meals, and snacks are a good way to fill you up. Light popcorn has low fat and high fiber which is a good snack, and most nuts are also an excellent snack.

What you eat is important when you are starting a diet. You need to change your grocery store list from what you are used to buying to what you need to buy. You should now have a good understating of the foods to eat to lose weight, and can begin your diet today.

Snowbirds Love Their Singer Island, FL, Condos

Sometime in January, we Snowbirds begin to think longingly of our Singer Island, FL, condos and begin making preparations to leave the bitter cold of our northern states and head south. Promises of 75 degree weather, fresh tropical breezes, and lots of sunshine sound like heaven.

As we sit in our Seattle house and gaze at the dreary drizzle out the window, we are more than ready to rejoin our friends that we made in Singer Island and begin to enjoy the wide, white sand beaches and sun.

Our Singer Island Condo Has Everything We Need

Although we have a timeshare for only a few weeks, we do not need to pack much. The completely furnished condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen, right down to the spices and staples. Bedding, towels, and even weekly cleaning service are all part of the unit. We can even barbeque right on our own deck. Our corner unit has a sweeping view to the south of Palm Beach Shores, the Atlantic on the east and Lake Worth to the west.

Water, Water Everywhere

Once a freshwater lake separated from the Atlantic by a narrow strip of land, Lake Worth was opened to the sea when inlets were dug to allow boats to have a safe harbor. The first inlet was dug in 1917, creating the island, and a channel, the Intracoastal Waterway is deep enough for cruise ships to enter the port.

The flatter water of the protected lake makes wonderful boating, jet skiing, and other water sports a popular recreation. The material dredged from the inlets and channel was piled on a shoal, creating another island, Peanut Island.

Peanut Island is a Playground

One of our favorite places to spend time is on Peanut Island. In Seattle, we kayak on Puget Sound, but here the warm water makes kayaking even more fun. We rent kayaks on Peanut Island and paddle around looking for Florida birds as well as those wise birds from the north that like to come south too. We also enjoy snorkeling, and usually take a picnic. Camping is even allowed on Peanut Island.

South Florida Recreation: Deep Sea Fishing or Shopping?

The day our guy friends decide to go deep sea fishing is the day we women head for Palm Beach to do a little shopping. Crossing over Blue Heron Bridge, we are quickly at Riviera Mall. There we can have lunch and shop ’til we drop, A new, soon-to-be opened mall on Singer Island that is huge will satisfy even the most diehard shopper in our group.

As I stuff my last favorite tank top into my suitcase and zip it shut, I sigh in anticipation of our upcoming weeks at our Singer Island, FL, condo. I glance out my window at the dripping, dense forest of Douglas fir and blackberry thickets, and know that when I return, the Seattle spring will be in full bloom with daffodils, dogwood, and tulips. And it will be good to be home again.

Cartier Watches – Reviews and Personal Picks

Once you learn more of Cartier Watches, you’ll want to own one of these beautiful time-pieces for yourself. That’s why I’m going to provide some important information about various Cartier designs, along with my own personal picks.

Cartier’s Love collection is fresh, offering both pink and white gold dials, with various colored fabric bands. This watch comes in his and hers sizes and features a circular dial with a screw and diamond accent, symbolizing the strength of love.

The Ballon Bleu de Cartier is for men only, but comes in both medium and large sizes. This exquisite watch has the classic Cartier appearance. It has a round dial with dark chocolate face, and gold Roman numerals. The bracelet is 18ct. gold and steel. I would have to say this is my favorite Cartier men’s watch because of its sophisticated look and feel.

The Santos 100 is, yet another amazing watch collection by Cartier. The skeleton is a design that is unique to Cartier. Created by Cartier, the Santos Skeleton features intricate movement that can be seen through the dial. Observing the inner workings of this time-piece can be mesmerizing. Watching the blades and miniature gears move reminds me of the craftsmanship that went into the making of this watch. Only 100 of these amazing watches will be sold. This watch is made of palladium and is paired with a black leather band.

The woman’s Panther collection is another favorite of mine. This collection is the classic woman’s style that Cartier is famous for. The Panther comes in both white and yellow gold bracelet. The dial is the traditional square, elegant shape, with Roman numerals. The Panther can feature diamonds surrounding the dial, around the bracelet, or both. Any watch from the Panther collection is a good choice if you’re looking for a timeless Cartier style.

If you are in search of a watch that gives off a more artistic feel, I recommend the Cartier Declaration. It is a brand new design for Cartier. The Declaration looks more like a black bangle than a time-piece, but trust me, it’s made with the same quality that makes Cartier famous. The black satin bracelet is accented with silver serpentine-like bands, which slide to reveal diamonds. The face is of this watch is very delicate, giving the illusion that you are wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Finally, I’ll tell you about my, absolute favorite Cartier watch, the Tank Kissime. The Kissime comes in 18ct. white gold, with bezel set diamonds on either side of the dial, and features a diamond cabochon setting. The Kissime has a white face, with black Roman numerals, and ocean blue hour and minute hands. This watch is a show-stopper and will dazzle even the most discerning eye. This is possibly one of Cartier’s most pricey choices, but once you put it on, you will never own another watch.

Of the watches that I’ve reviewed, Cartier watches have the most diverse and beautiful designs. There is a Cartier to suit any taste, from classic to trendy. Purchasing a Cartier watch is like owning a little piece of the past.

One look at a Cartier watch and you will wish you had one. Many of the collections including the Santos 100 are the most coveted luxury watches in the world. Learn more about the various Cartier watches at www.varietywatches.com.

Piano Online Lessons – You Can Master The Piano In Months, Not Years!

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Get Free Content For Your Site

For anyone aspiring to play the piano, online lessons make it easier than ever before to achieve. Imagine being able to play all types of music – Pop, Blues, Jazz, Ballads, even Classical. This can all be achieved in a matter of months, not years, without the need to spend your money, time and effort on traditional lessons.

A simple online learning process works like this. Start with popular chord based rhythms (as used by artists such as Elton John, Lionel Ritchie, Lennon & McCartney and Coldplay). This is actually quite easy to replicate, but sounds unerringly like the ‘real thing’. This way, you can start sounding professional almost straight away.

Once you have conquered this, you will be sounding great and having fun – which will motivate you to move to the next phase of your training. Here you will be able to expand your chord and rhythm knowledge into areas of Blues, Ballads, Jazz, and improvisation. Even sight reading and playing classical music will not phase you.

Here are 5 excellent reasons why you should consider following a course of piano online lessons: -

1. It’s cost effective. If you have worried about how expensive formal lessons would be, online learning is a great option. An online tuition provider has low overheads – and passes these on to the pupil to provide amazing value for money. The lessons would be delivered by download to your pc – cutting out the need for delivery costs or duplication of physical cd’s and books

2. It will provide thorough – but fun – training. The lessons allow you to watch, listen and learn – via video and audio clips, and written music. This makes the learning extremely intuitive. You look at musical exercises, and follow them easily through listening to the audio versions, and watching selected pieces played back on video – helping you to play along until you are confident enough to go solo

3. Provides learning through a structured process – building a foundation so that you are quickly familiar with chords, playing by ear and learning popular tunes you can start playing right away

4. Learn at your own pace. If you have other commitments, online learning can conveniently slot into your timetable. You can even accelerate your learning, if it suits you. No need to wait for next week’s lesson to come around, as with traditional tutor-based learning

5. Support. A reliable online course will provide answers to your questions, with a fast personal response. It will provide feedback and motivation, so you don’t feel that you are left on your own.

So you can see that, when learning the piano, online lessons are truly an option with many advantages for the pupil.
